My Story

Mr. Eddie G. Hall has been active in changing the lives of families and individuals from Ohio to Florida for over four decades.

Initially beginning as an HIV/AIDS Intervention Specialist, Mr. Hall’s passion to help others led to him becoming a Mental Health Therapist in private and nonprofit organizations (individual, group, and family therapy), to now serving as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, providing services for individuals currently incarcerated in the criminal justice system.

Through the years, Mr. Hall has had the privilege of engaging with diverse populations of various ethnicities and cultural backgrounds, dealing with a multitude of issues ranging from, but not limited to: addictions, trauma, abuse, marriage & divorce, low self-esteem, parrenting, dating, spiritual confusion, and emotional distress.

Combining years of personal experience with evidence-based practices, Mr. Hall provides effective counseling therapy that is practical, realistic, and effective.

WHAT SHOULD MY CLIENTS KNOW ABOUT ME?

My journey to you may be a little different than some other therapists.  Over the years my professional experiences include a lengthy career in sales; working in the Long-Term Care Industry as an Admissions and Marketing Director as well as a Director of Social Services; community involvement as a HIV/AIDS Intervention Specialist; and the privilege of serving 10 years as a Licensed Pastor.

I became a husband, a father, and now a grandfather.  I’ve experienced the multiple joys and victories of life; as well as learning how to recover from self-inflicted defeats, and the consequences of choices we cannot change.

So, I come to you not only as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, but as someone who brings the experience of reality to each of your therapy sessions.

WHAT IS MY APPROACH TO THERAPY?

Honesty.  If I’m not a good fit for you, if can’t help you, I will not waste your time.  Simultaneously, if you are not willing to put in the effort and are not willing to grow, I won’t let you waste mine. Questions.  I ask a lot of them.  Listening.  That’s the only way I can hear what you are saying.  And listening can become very intense.  Visualization. I can only take you as far as you can see.  Patience. Change takes time, and we will maximize our time together to reach your goals.

WHAT CAN CLIENTS EXPECT TO TAKE AWAY FROM SESSIONS WITH ME?

Hope. Knowing that the decision you made to begin or continue the counseling process is a pivotal turning point in your life, and your life will change because of this choice.  Courage. The ability to face the changes your new life choices will bring, no matter how uncomfortable these choices may be. Freedom. The ability to walk away from habits, thought patterns, and belief systems that hinder you from the peace you want in life.
